Feeling 22 (ooo ooo oooooo) - Amanda's Birthday Session

It was so nice to get away for a long weekend. Northern Michigan (and by "northern" I mean the upper lower peninsula) is just beautiful this time of year...even if it was unseasonably chilly (again). But seriously, the post-rain evening light was just gorgeous. And that haze over Lake Michigan and partially obscuring the Mackinaw Bridge? Perfection. 

Today is my little sister's twenty-second birthday (hence the title, ala Miss Taylor Swift, duh). Because I'm poor and my plans to make a book of recipes for her didn't pan out, I offered to do a birthday photo shoot for her while we were camping over the weekend. This session honestly turned out much better than I had thought it would. You seriously can't go wrong with mossy deliciousness, lovely light, rocky beaches and blue eyes. You just can't. Plus, this gave me a chance to work it with my new lens. Ahhhh. So enjoy this dip into a Michigan summer and go wish my little sis the happiest of birthdays!
